“Oh about 50-100 hours…”
So, I haven’t really knitted in about a year. You’d think that after moving to Colorado where it snows quite frequently, that I’d find some time to sit down and knit. This was not the case as this year, I decided instead, to make necklaces. And well, you can see where that went…However, now and again, I’ll run across a knitted piece that completely blows my mind. Thank you to Grace over at design*sponge for this one. Oh, and if I haven’t mentioned it before, bikes have a special place in our hearts and household so you can see why I was drawn to this piece. Christina Oh is a designerista as well as a “miniature knitter” of sorts. The bicycle took 50-100 hours and measures only 5″x7″ - translation, she was basically knitting with sewing needles and thread. Check out the Q&A about her process here. I’m so so so excited to announce that my site has officially launched! It has been such a labor of love for the last couple of months and I really couldn’t have done it without a few people in particular…so first and foremost a big thank you to all the ladies who’ve gone before me or currently surround me with their humor, zest for life, moxy and pizazz! You inspired me to create something to call my own. So thanks for being such great characters and I’ll try my best to “do ya proud.”
